Ian brings a wealth of industry experience, sales and marketing skills to his role as New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty’s Sales Manager for the Queenstown and Arrowtown offices. His career started in 1981 when he made the jump from teacher to salesperson and since then he has experienced almost every role in the real estate industry, from sales manager, business owner, auctioneer and sales coach. He has also acted as Executive Director, CEO and shareholder to some of New Zealand’s well-known real estate brands. His reputation as an effective real estate coach and mentor has meant he has been in demand for his training seminars in New Zealand and internationally and now he will take his Queenstown and Arrowtown teams through listing and selling strategies that focus on bringing premium results for our vendors. Ian is an award winning Auctioneer, having auctioned thousands of properties across New Zealand and this record has honed his very credible negotiation skills. These skills are also applied equally to properties marketed by Tender, by Negotiation or an Asking Price, as Ian believes the best price is not achieved by a “once size fits all” approach.
