After more than a decade selling property, Michael Newman has bought his expertise to lead and support the Havelock North branch of New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty as Sales Manager. Mike believes in the power of five key pillars of marketing to ensure the best possible results for clients and his team: impeccable property presentation with high-quality imagery, strategic selection of the suitable method of sale, far reaching advertising that reaches a broad audience, information and documentation that reassures buyers and their advisors, and a dedication to the highest quality of service to clients and customers both. He is passionate about ensuring that every interaction with New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty is a step above the rest. This client/customer-first approach, combined with strategic and fact-based advice, enables our clients to make informed decisions with confidence. Growing up in a family deeply entrenched in the real estate industry, Mike was destined for a career in property. With parents who were franchise owners, managers, and auctioneers, he was exposed to the intricacies of the industry from a young age. After gaining his real estate licence in 2005, he began his selling career in 2012, became an auctioneer in 2017, and went on to become a Business Development Manager for Wellington’s largest real estate company in 2020. His role involved driving business growth through agent business planning, recruitment, training, mentoring, and prospecting initiatives. In addition to his real estate expertise, Mike brings a diverse background to his new role. His experience includes a seven-year career in logistics with the New Zealand Defence Force, property management, charity management, and body corporate management. This breadth of experience equips him with a unique perspective and a well-rounded skill set that will undoubtedly benefit our team and clients alike.
